Speaking of Donations before you give to any National charity you should check them out first at the Better Business Bureau's  Give.org They rate over 400 National charities as to what percentage goes to the charity and what percentage goes to the collectors. It also tells you the number of paid staff and the salary being paid to the head of the charity

Want to Donate Your Old Mac - Printer - Scanner - Hard Drive

If you know of a local school, church, senior center or other organization that accepts Mac Computers, Printers, Digital Cameras, Scanners or other equipment and software donations Post a comment at the Bottom of This Page with the requirements. Some schools will take any Mac, including an old 128 Original. Others will only accept computers that can be networked via ethernet. Please help fill in this section by sending comments with info on where and who to contact with donations. Don't put it in the trash. Donate it so a child can get an education or a Church or Senior Center can teach computer skills or just use it in their own office. If it is something that cannot be used by a school, church or senior center, you might try posting the info here and maybe a DMUG member will take it.

Sunny Sands Elementary School
Carole Burnett is the computer lab technical assistant at the Sunny Sands Elementary School in Cathedral City. They are a MAC school. They have a beautiful lab but are always in need of computers. They run programs such as Online Phonics for Open Court, Reading Counts, Accelerated Reader, Mavis Beacon Keyboarding and many more. These are all networked programs throughout the school. Contact: Carole Burnett at the Sunny Sands Elementary School 770-8635. Leave your name & number in the office with a message that you have Mac stuff to donate. If she is busy and cannot come to the phone she will call you back. Don't bother with Sunny Sands Elementary unless it is USB. They do NOT want any of the old serial(pins) ACD buss equipment.
